SOP - Foot Biomechanics

Attendees will gain an understanding of tri-plane functional biomechanics of the weight-bearing foot and how normal biomechanics contribute toward normal gait. Attendees will be able to assess gait based on functional biomechanics. Common foot pathologies will be taught along with practical open and closed chain evaluation techniques for assessing foot function. Attendees will then be taught how to cast for functional an accommodative foot orthotics and write the Rx for orthotic fabrication. Finally they will learn orthotic modification techniques to enhance functional outcomes.
